Head Coach - Drew Hillman
Coach Hillman attended El Toro High School where he was a two-sport athlete in basketball and baseball. In basketball, he was a two time all league selection and led his team to back to back league titles. In baseball, he lettered on varsity for three years earning all league selections in 2005 and 2007. He helped the Chargers win the 2007 Sea View League Title, with an overall record of 25-5. Coach Hillman holds the career record for single season and career doubles at the school.
After graduating from El Toro, Coach Hillman attended and played third base at Orange Coast College from 2008-2009. Coach Hillman was honored as an All-Orange Empire Conference selection twice and was a two-time Junior College All American. In 2009, he led the OCC Pirates to the State Championship. He set the school record for single season and career doubles. Coach Hillman played in the Cape Cod League for the Cotuit Kettleers and was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays following the 2009 season.
After not signing with the Rays, Coach Hillman attended the University of California, Irvine where he was a 2010 Big West Scholar-Athlete and a member of the 2010 UCLA All Regional All-Tournament Team. In 2011, he was selected to the All Big West Team after hitting .333 with 6 home runs and 51 RBI. He also helped his team to the 2011 Super Regional where the Eaters were one strike away from making it to the College World Series. In June of 2011, he was drafted by Philadelphia Phillies in the 18th round and stayed with the organization for two years.
After leaving the Philadelphia Phillies, Coach Hillman began his coaching career as Varsity Assistant Coach at his alma mater, El Toro High School, from 2012-2015. From 2015-2016, after having obtained his Teaching Credential in Social Studies and Masters in Education, he started his teaching career at Villa Park High School and extended his coaching experience as the Varsity Assistant Coach under Chris Van Camp. Coach Hillman had the privilege to learn and play under Mike Gonzales (2 CIF Titles - 12 League Titles), Andy Wise (Head Baseball Coach - Corona High School), John Altobelli ( OCC - 4 States Championships), Mike Roberts (UNC Head Baseball Coach 1978-1998), and Mike Gillespie (USC/UCI -1,100 Total wins - 1998 National Champion).
Coach Hillman was hired in the winter of 2017 and teaches US History and Guided Studies at Laguna Hills High School.

Assistant Coach - Brad Hillman
Coach Hillman was three sport stand out athlete at Sonora High School. He was an all CIF player in football, won the 1971 CIF Basketball Championship and was an all CIF player in baseball as well. Coach Hillman continued playing at Cypress College, where he played both football and baseball. At Cypress, he was named the teams MVP. He then went on to play baseball at Cal State Los Angeles (Division 1 at the time).
Coach Hillman continued to play for an additional 10 years for semi pro teams in Orange County. He taught for 37 years in the Irvine Unified School District before retiring in 2015. In 2017, he was coaxed out of retirement by his son to help the Hawk Program. Coach Hillman also takes an active role with the Development Program.
